Meet Alexandria, whose stretched styles always look like pure perfection!

I have been natural for 4 years this past September. My hair is a mix of 3c, 4a, and 4b curls. My texture is medium/coarse. I love wearing stretched styles because. . . well, number one, NO shrinky curls (as I like to call them). You can really get a true idea of your length when your hair is stretched.

I’ve tried bantu knots, braid outs, braid and curls, twist and curls, flexi rod sets, etc. I am always searching for a new way to keep my hair stretched.

I try to stay away from applying too much “water based” product to my hair. I use them because I need the moisture but at the same time I don’t want my hair to revert. I’m currently loving Creme of Nature Butter-licious Curls and Carol’s Daughter Marguerite’s Magic. Those two products contain water, of course, but they dry quickly allowing to keep my style, well, STRETCHED!

How Alexandria achieves her “Twisted Bantu Knot Out”:
My current favorite style is my Twisted Bantu Knot Out. I first two strand twist my entire head with Creme of Nature Butter-licious Curls and then proceed to take two twists and  “twist the twists”  into another twist and then roll them into a Bantu knot. (confusing? Lol) Making sure that they are not to tight, I then put my satin cap on and go to sleep. My hair is so curly and defined the next day with minimal frizz and shrinkage.

Final Thoughts:
Stay positive on your natural hair journey, ladies.
